Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (October 1948 – 16 August 1997) was a Pakistani musical performer, fundamentally an artist of Qawwali, the reverential music of the Sufis. Considered one of the best voices ever recorded, he had an exceptional scope of vocal capacities and could perform at an abnormal state of power for a few hours. Expanding the 600-year old Qawwali custom of his family, Khan is generally attributed with acquainting Qawwali music with global crowds. He is famously known as "Shahenshah-e-Qawwali", signifying "The King of Kings of Qawwali". 

Born in Faisalabad, Pakistan, Khan had his first open execution at age of 16, at his father's chelum. He turned into the leader of the family qawwali party in 1971. He was marked by Oriental Star Agencies, Birmingham, England, in the early 1980s. Khan happened to discharge film scores and collections in Europe, India, Japan, Pakistan, and the U.s.a.
